General Dermatology

General dermatology provides solutions for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of skin, hair and nail conditions: acne management, eczema, rosacea, hair loss, skin allergy treatment, etc.

Skin Cancer Prevention and Treatment

A skin cancer screening can help identify skin cancer in its earliest stages while it’s easiest to treat. To detect and diagnose skin cancer, a dermatologist checks the skin over your entire body. He will also ask you questions about when your skin or mole appearance changes started, whether you have any family history of skin cancer and if you’ve had exposure to certain chemicals or substances.

Sometimes after checking the area, your dermatologist may recommend a skin biopsy. A biopsy is the removal of a suspicious part of skin (a skin growth or a rash) for lab testing. The results can determine whether you have skin cancer and, if so, what type of skin cancer you have.

The treatment options for skin cancer and the precancerous skin lesions will vary, depending on the size, type, depth and location of the lesions. Small skin cancers limited to the surface of the skin may not require treatment beyond an initial skin biopsy that removes the entire growth.

Testimonials

The dermatolgist at Procare Medical Center is very patient and experienced, having given me a lot of information on the issue I presented to her as well as the possible treatment options which were available. His staff were very friendly as well making the experience of my appointments very pleasant as a whole. I’d definitely recommend visiting Procare Medical Center for any dermatological needs.

I visited the dermatologist and he solved my skin problems in only 2 visits that has been bothering me for at least a few years. There was indeed some waiting time, but it is understandable and worth it as I believe that he has many patients.

I was a chronic full body Eczema patient; desperate and tried many hospitals, govt clinics and even famous TCMs with media articles before meeting Dr Marc Dumas, the dermatologist. He is so friendly, polite and ever so sincere whenever I see her. Skilled in injections as well – no pain whenever she administers it. Dr Marc Dumas and his team are always available in times of emergencies and sudden rash attacks. Pain and burn magically disappear in a few hours after treatment! I look forward to every visit with Dermatology at Procare. Thank you for having my back always (or skin for that matter!)

I had my toes infection for my years. The clinic was recommended by my company’s doctor and some of my friends and it truly cured my infection. Dr Marc Dumas (dermatology) was straight forward in his assessment and very professional. Staff there was also pleasant and friendly. Thumbs up.
